Modelo, acontecimento: desenho / Model, event: drawing
(...) Qualquer desenho traz em si,
necessariamente, o aspecto indicial. A marca gráfica que o constitui é
sempre indício de um acontecimento, podendo ser o registro de uma ação
humana diretamente sobre a matéria, do comportamento de um material ou
de um conjunto de materiais, dos efeitos do tempo ou de outros fatores
sobre esses materiais ou sobre o resultado da ação humana. Tomando
emprestado o termo usado por Barthes ao se referir ao trabalho de Cy
Twombly, considero que um desenho em que o aspecto performático
predomina pode ser chamado de desenho-acontecimento.
Por outro lado, se um desenho se configurar primordialmente enquanto construção de formas, cores, valores, de modo a corresponderem em algum nível ao arranjo das coisas do mundo, ou de modo que identifiquem, isolem ou determinem um aspecto da realidade, ele se torna exemplar, projetual, modelar. Poderíamos então chamá-lo de desenho-modelo.
Esses dois aspectos não se excluem mutuamente, tensionando um ao outro segundo o grau de importância que ocupam numa determinada obra. (...)

The graphic mark which it is made of is always the indication of an event, could it be the record of a human action directly on the subject, of the behavior of a material or a range of materials, of the effects of time and other factors on these materials or on the result of the human action. Borrowing the term used by Barthes when referring to the work of Cy Twombly, I consider that a drawing in which its performative aspect prevails can be called event-drawing.
On the other hand, if a drawing primordially presents itself as the construction of shapes, colors, values, in a way to correspond in some level to the arrangement of things in the world, or in a way to identify, isolate or establish an aspect of reality, it becomes exemplary, projectual, modular. We could then call it model-drawing.These two aspects do not mutually exclude, activating one another according to the degree of importance they have in a particular piece. (...)
